Scanography

"The temple bell stops but I still hear the sound coming out of the flowers."

- Matsuo Basho

Robin's "Writing on Stones" series is an example of her experimental nature, having embraced a little used art form called scanography to develop striking images. Robin says, "I began to experiment with writing on objects that I'd found on the beach near my home in Northern Ireland and then placing them on a flatbed scanner.  These objects - shells and stones - had a sense of endurance, of substance, of solitude and silence. The quality of the stones in my art lends it a sense of never-ending space and expansion, while the quality of the flowers in my work is transitory, lending it a quality of being firmly in the moment.  These divergent qualities, blended together, lead to a space where all is possible."

Robin Rezende's artwork holds a space for sacred contemplation.  Robin can provide personal advice on the artwork in your home, having been trained and certified in feng shui and space clearing. She is also available for commissions and can create personal altars and bespoke artwork for your home or office.
